My contractor has requested to be provided with information on full environmental regulatory compliance of my plant’s operations, where do I start and how do I manage the whole process??

Client
International industrial components manufacturer
The situation
An increasing number of industrial companies face the need to implement so-called green compliance – that is, full environmental regulatory compliance understood not just as meeting minimum legal requirements, but as actively managing operations in line with environmental regulations and wider, ESG standards. For a production facility in Poland, this means a comprehensive review of environmental, construction and operational permits and the alignment of processes with sustainability requirements, all while maintaining continuous production.
Our role
We provided full regulatory compliance advisory for the plant’s ongoing operations and its expansion with new production lines. We represented the client in all administrative proceedings leading to the issuance of environmental, construction and operational decisions and in compensation procedure. We worked closely with the technical adviser, which is essential when legal solutions must be designed in parallel with engineering solutions.
The result
It is a good example of advisory work in which the legal and technical dimensions must go hand in hand: regulations do not exist in isolation from the operational realities of a plant, and our advisory is designed so that the client can pursue its business objectives while meeting growing regulatory and ESG requirements.

Environmental protection
Environmental regulations affect not only compliance, but what matters most in business: the pace of investment, operating costs, and security. In this area, knowing what the law says is not enough. You also need to know how to translate it into concrete actions and sound decisions.
